More than 400 parks in Ho Chi Minh City, children are still thirsty for playgrounds
An 8-year-old boy named Khanh left his home on Nguyen Van Qua Street (District 12, Ho Chi Minh City), and went into a small alley a few meters away from the house. The dead end alley in a worker's dormitory is where the children around here play every afternoon.
Within a radius of about 500 m to 2 km from Khanh's house, there is An Suong park, a large Cay Sop park and a few internal parks of the apartments, but Khanh's parents can't let him go by himself because of the danger. Therefore, the 8-year-old boy can only play in the alley near the house.
Ho Chi Minh City currently has 405 parks, including public parks and residential areas. Each district has at least one large green park and many playgrounds for children, but these spaces do not seem to be enough for city people.
